I received this in an e-mail and got to thinking about a few things: With a reported budget of $172 million, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines starts in high gear and never slows down. First, how is it that a movie can generate such a large budget and provide a mere two hours of enjoyment in return? Second, how can those involved with the movie have such assurance that they won't 'lose' on their investment? Finally, why can't we as Southern Baptists come close to matching such an exploit during Christmas for things of eternal value? Pardon the pun, but what's wrong with this picture? Time is going by quickly, but my weight loss has slowed down! During our first 35 weeks here I lost 50 lbs./~22kg by eliminating morning coffee (with sugar and milk) and focusing on fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices (long story). Afternoon meals were mostly high-water content foods (salads, vegetables). Rarely, if ever, did I eat anything after 8 pm. Keeping the weight off has been the focus for this second set of 35 weeks, plus we have about 35 more weeks before we visit the US for ten weeks. If you recall, I started out at 247/112kg and still have my eyes set on getting down to 183/83kg. Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. + <L A S T W E E K>< ++ You asked God to work through the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem (IPCJ)... I really felt this awesome-sized request and stood in awe at the immense responsibility the IPCJ has! I suppose He needs to work through me first, eh? + Jasmine visited the doctor last week after beginning a bout of congestion (?). It looked like her first two weeks of preschool was an incubation period for something, and you asked God to bring healing... we have a completely different little girl this week, and we thank you for praying! + You prayed that those gathered for a prayer conference would be encouraged in their efforts to solicit prayer advocacy... it's too early to know what happened, but I firmly believe your prayers were answered!
<T H I S W E E K><<>< Pray that a 'misunderstanding' between me and one of the gentlemen helping with the Prayer Garden would go over smoothly. <>< Jasmine will soon celebrate being 4 1/3, so we're asking that we'd treasure each day. <>< Tomorrow Jasmine has a day off from school. We asked why and learned that all Arab schools were off to remember when Muhammad rode a horse from Medina to what is now the Dome of the Rock here in Jerusalem. Please pray with us that God will reveal Himself through dreams and visions as people celebrate this event.

She had a full afternoon of rest even through the electricity went off for 30-40 minutes every two hours. Ugh. 18-23, A focused conference* I'm sure those attending the conference stayed focused thanks in part to your fervent intercession!
