Thank you for being patient with me last week in that feeble attempt to send an HTML knee-mail (ugh). Something wasn't right, so I'll just stick with 'Plain-Text' (for now<g>). I also appreciate your encouraging words toward my ongoing focus on improving my health before it gets out of hand. Some say that the main reason for folks like us to leave the field is due to issues related to health, so that prompts me to become a better steward of the body God has given me. You may recall when I said that at one time I'd torn down God's temple and replaced it with a Pizza Hut - with plenty of parking in the rear! Now I'm not 1/5th the person I used to be <g>.

Someone suggested naming the Prayer Center as the World(wide) Prayer Center of Jerusalem, and the ring of WPCJ sounds nice. Then there's the Jerusalem House Prayer Center, JHPC. I'm leaning toward PCJC for the acronym behind the Prayer Center of Jerusalem. The extra 'C' is for the center of the world or the cross that does it all. Any other ideas, of course, would be welcomed.

So far we have slightly more than 25% of our Contacts/Address Book receiving the Wednesday Weekly and, as you know, we always need "one more" person to pray for us. Please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send me an email at the address below or subscribe at this website.

May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

+ As world attention focused on the US last week, you prayed that she would follow God. I mentioned that there has been speculation that the US will do "something" to be removed as the domineering world power so as to shift that position back to Europe where, eventually, Daniel's ten toes would arise to give way to a new world leader, the Antichrist (and I asked if my dispensationalism was showing <g>?) You continued to keep *all* world leaders under watchful prayer, especially you know who... a Wednesday Weekly Wintercessor sent this as an update:

"Max Lucado is a Christian author who is very popular for his many wonderful books about the Lord. This week, Max was invited (along with several other famous preachers) to have lunch at the White House with President Bush.

Their meeting took place on Thursday and Max shared with us this morning how it had gone. As the ministers sat down to lunch and waited for President Bush to appear, Max said that he was expecting G.W. to walk in the room looking tired, serious, and depressed. When the President came in, Max said he looked totally opposite of tired: he was energetic, joyful, and very focused on his talk with the ministers.

Max asked President Bush how he could seem so calm and peaceful in the midst of all the tragedy. The President's reply was, "I'm feeling stronger now than I've ever been in my life. And the reason is because every person in America is praying for me. When I stay on my knees, that's when I have power." The ministers then asked the President how he would like them to pray for him, and how their congregations back home should be praying. Mr. Bush asked, first, for clarity of mind so that he could make wise decisions, and then he asked that we pray specifically for his wife and two daughters, as he is very concerned about their safety.

I knew that you would be as encouraged as I was to hear about this meeting. We must thank God that we have a President who loves and fears the Lord. No human leader is perfect, but God is perfect, so let's keep President Bush lifted up in prayer before the Father."

While I cannot account to the veracity of this e-mail, I do believe it reflects part of what you prayed about last week.

+ Shirin has been having additional Arabic studies with a small group of like minded believers, and you asked God to show them the end result of language study by way of a cpm... She writes, "We have been learning stories from the life of Jesus as well as translating Arabic Christian songs. I hope to be able to use the stories in summer Bible clubs."

+ You asked God to give "Joe" patience during his two-hour watch for the telephone workers, and then you asked Him to give me the same measure once I tagged-team with "Joe" for a second two-hour shift... even though we were stood up again and have wasted/invested ten clock hours in this matter, it wasn't all bad since we knew you were praying for us

+ You continued praying for "Bruce" as he conquers his computer... although I didn't see him like I thought I would, I'm sure he appreciated your intercession.

+ Finally, you prayed that I might learn HTML in order to give you a choice between the Plain Text knee-mail and an HTML edition. I asked if you had any color preference, and it seems like a good idea to stick with Plain Text for now.

<>< Pray with us about Jasmine's schooling. We will be looking at a local school for next year and need peace and assurance that this is the right school for her.

<>< The 'prayer center' is getting closer to the high-speed Internet access necessary to provide visiting intercessors with access to people group information, so your prayers this week to make it happen will be appreciated.

<>< I'd appreciate specific intercession over sundry computer glitches I'm experiencing. For a detailed list, visit this site where you'll see a 'gsterry' in need here and yon.

I have been hoping to share links for specific people groups in this space but have encountered a glitch with the site. Thank you for being patient : -)
