Pardon the early arrival of this issue. I want to be sure it gets to you in case this morning's airport pickup of the two volunteers for whom you have been praying causes me to get home late.

"Establishing local governments one neighborhood at a time" was the theme I saw on an MSNBC Nightly News video clip.  What an approach to take for the Kingdom!

This MSNBC News video clip showed the changes in Gaza and the need of Wednesday Weekly Wintercessors to pray for the salvation of Islamic militants. Thank you for praying and asking others to pray!

This clip says, "... this road map will fail like all the others." How sad, yet true. What will it take to wake up God's people from the pews to go tell about the "Roman" Road Map to Peace?

Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send an e-mail or to subscribe at our website.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

+ You prayed again that the promised work crew would show up to begin clearing away the wood, hay, and stubble from the Prayer Garden... I had hoped they would appear Wednesday, but it was just me and a blister. There was, however, a promise of Saturday. I arrived at 7 to continue mowing after a two-hour mow Friday evening. The lawnmower tuckered out after half an hour, so I went to the volunteer apartment to shower and change clothes in order to look presentable for a haircut. I returned to work on the Research Center computers and saw that the work crew had arrived "in between" and, wow, what a difference they made! I had opportunity to share I Corinthians 3:9ff with one young man and rejoiced at the object lesson before us. The wood, hay, and stubble burned and burned.

+ A co-worker and I were probably at the visa office as you read this last week, so you prayed that our visas would be granted... I seem to be getting closer (?) The co-worker who accompanied me received his visa extension, and we thank you for that! I get to return at 1145 Sunday, 20-July. That's 445 on the east coast, so please pray for this as you have your morning Quiet Time and please feel free to enlist others!

+ Another co-worker and I tried to secure travel documents for an upcoming fall meeting and asked that you pray for all 'hoops' to be jumped through... well, so far so good. We'll see what happens in ~3 weeks. Your intercession was sensed, and we thank you!

+ This past Sunday ~midnight on the east coast was when a few co-workers and had an appointment to secure visas, so you prayed with us that God would grant them... "two out of three" was today's average. The two who received visas express their appreciation while the one who did not receive an extension asks for the 'new' paperwork to come through (a letter stating the importance of the work and a 'medical report,' a new twist).

+ Prayerwalking teams are preparing to come during the "days of Awe" (Jewish holy days) and during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. We asked you to please pray for the teams as they prepare to come and for God to direct us in where and how to pray for the two people groups... Thank you for your prayers as it seems that at least one team is in the processes of being formed!

+ You prayed for two volunteers who would be coming this week to work in the Prayer Center... as of this writing, they are in the air on their way here! I'm looking forward to sharing of their work in next week's issue : -)

+ You rejoiced with us that the shared Internet connection in the Research Center of the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem was getting closer to actuality... "one step forward, two steps backward" was this week's theme. See this week's prayer item for details :-(

<T H I S  W E E K><

<>< Ask God to use "Larry and Carol" to bring progress to the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem in the way of a sprinkler system and some much needed filing.

<>< We've made a few network cables to connect a few computers to the 8-port switch in order to get the connected computers online; however, something is preventing the connection. Pray with us that we'll be able to deduce the glitch and get everything connected.

<>< On a personal note, I could really use your intercession to figure out how to get the laptop back to making use of the printer connected to the desktop. All of a sudden "it just quit" connecting :-(

<>< The Prayer Garden looks completely different from what it looked like last week; however, we still need to get the ground somewhat level and have the final bits of debris removed. Pray with us that the farmer and his tractor can make it across checkpoints. A co-worker and I have had more contact with a local young man who's helping us with this "inside" matters, and we covet your intercession for God to soften his heart in the same way the ground will be softened.

<>< I want to invite those of you whose Quiet Time falls between 430-530am to be in prayer for our visas to be granted. I will be meeting (again) with a representative of the office that grants visa extensions during that time period. (For those of you keeping count, this will be visit #9 since last September.)

>< Pray for the Salar of Northwest China. >

CALENDAR UPDATES

<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!><

9, good working relationships

* What a day! One co-worker came to the rescue as I encountered a dead battery on the way to the visa office, and another co-worker took me to an auto parts store for a new battery. While these guys were great, I also gave God thanks for your tithes and offerings that made buying a new battery possible!

10, safety of US family

* A nephew gets dinged up every so often but beyond that all are well : -)

11, more workers

* How encouraging it is to read of those coming to help!

12, computer ‘health’

* Well, one of the donated computers appears to be dead, so it may just need a new power supply (?). Another computer has been "successfully" (?) upgraded to XP Pro. Computer #3 is a Celeron with a 4G HDD partitioned evenly in half, and it will need to stay at Win98se in order to make use of a scanner we've received. I still need to follow the suggestion to remove pins on the motherboard of computer #4 in order to bypass the password.

13, believers to be encouraged

* We attended the wedding of a friend and, yes, the Christian community marries on Sunday (?). I think he and his bride were encouraged by our attendance.

14, family health

* Join us in rejoicing over the lack of illnesses!

15, more people to hear God’s word

* I met two new friends today and am looking forward to telling them more!
