And so now the 'liberated' country wants to go deeper into spiritual bondage by requesting that their previously oppressed majority be given the right to rule. Talk about an unprecedented opportunity for God's people to storm the Gates of Glory with fervent intercession on behalf of a people confined to tradition! Let's pray for these precious people this week, and let's ask God to send a flood of volunteers equipped with food aid and the truly liberating message of the Bread of Life. I saw this news article and thought you'd find it interesting: VIRGINIA--IMB leaders weighing options with projected budget shortfall. The above story almost goes hand in hand with one of this week's prayer needs and praises! See below under "This Week." + <L A S T W E E K>< ++ Most local 'Christians' celebrated Easter last Sunday, and you asked God to show them His desire for a personal relationship... a puppet show at the Alliance Church may have been such a faith building activity! + You began praying for another trip to the visa office. It's been some time since I've been told to "come back in two weeks" on account of government strikes and holidays. You asked God to move in the life of the one responsible for issuing these visas... it almost happened! I think I went up one level to someone's supervisor and for a moment thought I'd get the visa only to find out she was giving me the same explanation : -( I'll have to admit - this has been a vicious test and trial of many beliefs. I didn't expect a visa today, so I wasn't as disappointed as the other six times. + You asked God to give us progress on the visiting intercessor's Prayer Guide... not much was done since a few other victories took our attention <g>. + You prayed that the first set of Prayer Garden mini-tiles would be ready this week so we can 'spread the word'... the first set was ready this past Tuesday, and we thank you for making this possible! We may have them on the website soon, so be sure to check! + Two of Scott's nephews celebrated birthdays last week, and you prayed for them to become followers of Jesus... one shows promise and the other is not outside of His reach : -) + Finally, Jasmine started back to her playgroup last week, and you prayed that she'd have a good adjustment... oh, and how! She had a "wonderful time," as she put it. Thank you for praying!
