I found myself spending a lot of time with Jasmine this week. Rearing children can be tough. A recent Baptist Press article entitled "Wanted: Deliberately Christian parents" offered some help.

I was a bit surprised by the financial news in this article (and will continue to bite my tongue <g>): MASSACHUSETTS--IMB trustees restrict appointments, act on workers refusing to affirm BF&M.

Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send an e-mail or to subscribe at our website.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

+ We've been looking forward to getting in contact with tour hosts to let them know of the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem so they can offer it as an 'option' to tourists, so you prayed with us that we would 'stumble' across a list of such key people... we haven't stumbled yet, so keep praying : -)

+ You prayed that the Message of Hope would ring loud and clear as we share with neighbors... warmer weather is bringing the neighbors out, and I had opportunity to talk again of the need to be born again. Continue praying for fertile soil.

+ You asked God to be glorified in an upcoming gathering of the church with whom we worship... wow, was He ever! We had five language groups represented as we sang for about an hour. Arabic, Chinese, English, Hebrew, and Russian voices were exalting His name.

Another way He was glorified was through Jasmine's concern about the Chinese congregations. For a long time she has expressed a desire to live in China with her farmer husband and children. We've had opportunity to tell her about SARS as the reason we've had to delay a vacation to China. One of the things she wanted to do today was to ask those form the Chinese congregations if they were felling better.

She was glad not to see anyone wearing a mask, an indication that they were better : -)

+ Another round of Arabic classes for Scott began last week, so you prayed that his mind would be receptive and refreshed... he didn't forget as much as he'd thought, and a relatively large sized group of six others should make for interesting learning opportunities.

+ A "changing-of-the-guard" type meeting took place Monday, and you joined us in asking God for clear communication over roles and expectations for all involved... we postponed the meeting until Tuesday, so we saw your prayers go before us. As you asked, there were clear expressions of roles and expectations. Thank you!

+ You joined us in praying for a united vision of the Prayer Center and what it would take to reach it as a few of us gathered Tuesday... hmm, this meeting veered toward meeting the needs of an upcoming volunteer, which was equally important as the united vision; consequently, continue praying for such a gathering to take place at the appropriate time.

+ Scott and Jasmine have had nagging coughs for the past several days and would greatly appreciate a Divine touch... not only did the coughs go away, but I've been waking up more refreshed than in past weeks! Thank you to those of you reading the 'daily' blog.

<>< Ask God to open the heart of our landlord as we invest time together today. I treasure every opportunity to share the Good News with him!

<>< Join us in praying for 'appropriate ways' to make known the availability of replica tiles as a means of providing support for the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem, especially as the 'project' needs to be made known.

<>< Jasmine and I will have Thursday afternoon together while Shirin has an Arabic class. I realize these times with her will "one day ride away" (as in 'watercolor ponies'), so pray that I would be the daddy I need to be.

<>< Pray for "Bill" as he prepares to volunteer his time and service here. Those of you who have volunteered overseas know what he needs : -)

>< Pray for the Hani people of China. >
