The 's' in the word 'saint' stands for salvation; in other words, if you know for sure God has forgiven you for your past, present, and future sins through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross, then you have salvation. Now, if you don't have that, then just take the 's' off of 'saint' to find out if you're a saint or not. (Hint: you're either a saint or you ain't). Speaking of acronyms, JJSW or JJSE is an acronym highlighting the commission of Acts 1:8 to take the gospel to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the world or the ends of the earth. I ran across an article from Ken Hemphill, one of the former presidents of my seminary alma mater and thought you'd appreciate it as an example of how we at the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem (IPCJ) want to see Acts 1:8 fulfilled: A partnership to reach ‘Samaria.’ Along those lines, let me remind you that the major focus of the IPCJ is to be a catalyst to enlist the final prayer advocates for the last of the world's unreached people groups; hopefully, this meets the intention of the words of Jesus in Matthew 24:14. If it doesn't, I need to go somewhere else <g>. From Brigada Today: Some time ago you began praying over children's camps supervised by some
of your Baptist workers. One of those workers sent this update to encourage you
and thank you for praying: I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am, Yours because His, + <L A S T W E E K>< ++ You prayed that I'd have the right insight as I continued to prepare a desktop computer for use in the Prayer Center library... well, so far so good! Once we can get back online, I should be able to run Windows Update to get everything current so as to make another image of the partitions. Your prayers made a big difference, and I thank you! + Rumor had it that around three dozen visiting intercessors will be in the Garden last Wednesday, so you joined me in asking God to speak to someone's heart about adopting an unreached people group... well, there were about three dozen at the Garden Tomb, and we had a little more than half of the group. I was reminded of Gideon's Army as we prayed around the world; unfortunately, God did not put an unreached people group on anyone's heart. + Our camera repair finished its fourth week, and we had yet to hear anything positive. You asked God to stir up the repair man to do what he said he would do last month. (I think most of you know how much and how often we use that camera.)... so now the part is on order (sigh). + Jasmine had another "liquid nitrogen" appointment last week, so you prayed that she would endure the treatment and be free of the plantar wart... well, she endured the latest treatment, but she's far from being free from the wart :-( + Jasmine had a birthday party at school with the other girls born in May, and you prayed that a memorable time be had... oh, my, what a delight! She had a blast, and we thank you for praying it so! <T H I S W E E K><<>< Please pray with Shirin, Jasmine, and another co-worker as they join the Lazarus Home for girls for a picnic. Pray for safety as they play games and for the hearts of the girls to be ready as seeds of God's love are planted for the girls. <>< Join Shirin and other leaders of the ladies Bible study in the Old City in praying that the ladies will have a deeper understanding of why Jesus had to die on the cross. Pray that the ladies will make deeper faith steps toward Jesus. <>< Scott has run into another one of those "catch up" modes where necessary "paper work" and other ministry items are interfering with one another. Pray that these things would become reconciled this week. CALENDAR UPDATES<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!>< 11-12, Ask God to sharpen our language so as to share His message clearly. * I'm reminded that it's not "with excellency of speech or man's wisdom" (I Cor 2:1) that His message is conveyed; however, I understood the message in my heart language, and I want those around me to experience the same. Your ongoing intercession is deeply appreciated!13, Pray for Ali’s salvation. * No progress yet :-(14, Pray for workers to share in the settlements. * I know they'll be here one day!15, Pray to see a new believer today. * I didn't see one.
