"A recent news program reported that an online poll conducted by Scholastic magazine says more than 80 percent of our children do not want to be president of the United States." Here's the rest of the story: The best career plan

"If you could ask God one question and you knew He would give you the answer, what would you ask? Pollster George Barna surveyed a cross section of adults asking that question. The number one response was,..."

BTW, Stafford Crossing has been sending us CDs of previous worship services, and they' continue to minister to our family in multiple ways. Jasmine is off from school on Friday and Sunday, and you can hear her playing the CDs over and over singing to His heart's content.

Also, if you're tired of getting stuck on 'hold' when calling a company, try these tips.

Those of you who were with us at Oakton Baptist Church the Lottie Moon year of 1992 will remember this story (wonder why we didn't get written up?) Gals want rematch with guys after church’s 1st Lottie Moon offering

(The National Goal that year was $84 million, so I proposed an $840.03 goal to the church, quite a challenge since she'd never given more than $350. We did the same penny challenge as in the above Baptist Press story and came up with a final total of $1,414.44 - mostly in change <g>.)

Jasmine's last day of Easter Break was Monday, April 24, and I crossed off one of those "Things I Want to Do Before I Die" from my list: she walked the areas where Jesus spent some of His last remaining time before He ascended back to Glory; ironically, my right knee 'gave out' from the walk, but things should be well. Anyway, the day was absolutely wonderful, thanks in part to a co-worker who knew the area remarkably well.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Matthew 24:14

+ You continued praying for Scott as he worked more with Jasmine in homeschool while Shirin continued ministry visits...Jasmine and Scott had a great time working toigether and have built fond memories of problem solving skills like sharing two candy bars with three friends (see the A Beka Parents' Guide or ask Jasmine <g>.).

+ You prayed for Shirin as she continued regular visits while helping Jasmine learn...Your prayers helped Shirin clearly plan work for Jasmine while she was on visits. Jasmine did well working independently for a 6 yr. old.

+ You prayed for Jasmine as she received "extra time" for homeschool during her last week of Easter Break from the Schmidt School...Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. Jasmine was able to meet her lesson goals and had a great attitude throughout her vacation."

<>< Scott has been going through times of uncertainty and covets your intercession that things "go back to normal."

<>< Please join us in praying for the Easter party that will be held at the Garden Tomb. The ladies who will be attending most probably have never be to the Tomb or have clearly heard what Jesus has done for them. We pray that the ladies will make large faith steps towards Jesus.

<>< Shirin and some co-laborers will be going to the Girls Home to start a vegetable garden and do a craft. Join them in praying that gospel seeds will be planted in the girls' and staff's hearts.

<* Pray for the Kumhar of India.><
