Jasmine's first observance of the Lord's Supper as His follower took place at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem on April 12, 2006. Jasmine experienced her first Lord's Supper last Wednesday when she and I joined a group of visiting intercessors at the Garden Tomb. Being there for that, being there to lead her to Jesus, and then having the privilege this summer of baptizing her on Father's Day just absolutely makes my day :-)

[I know the day is coming when I'll walk her down the aisle and then take my place to perform her wedding ceremony, but let's get through elementary school first <g>.]

We had a marvelous time of Good Friday worship at the Garden Tomb as well and chose to worship in Bethlehem for Resurrection Sunday; in fact, every Sunday is a remembrance of Resurrection Sunday - what a day for worship!

I found some interesting "Easter Lore" for your reading pleasure, if you're curious.

Henry Blackaby chairs National Day of Prayer.

And, for the lighter side of things, here's an essay on how taxes work.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

Matthew 24:14

+ Scott wanted to be supportive of Jasmine and Shirin while Jasmine is on Easter Break from the local Schmidt School. The home school "Jasmine Elementary," however, would still be in session...I couldn't have made it without your intercession, and I still have another week to go!

+ Shirin and a co-laborer would be hosting some visitors at the co-laborers house, so you joined them in praying that God's plan of salvation would be shared with the visitors... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. We had a good visit with two house mothers and eight girls from the Girls Home. We were not able to share much during our time together, but we did make follow-up plans to meet again."

+You prayed for Jasmine and her friends who are starting a school newspaper as Jasmine asked for God's guidance in what to write and to be able to write well for the newspaper. Jasmine also asked prayer for safety and protection for her friends during their school's Easter break... Jasmine says, "Thank you for praying. My friend and the principal said my writing was very nice. I continue to follow God's guidance in what to write next. Our school is still on break so please continue to pray for my friends' safety."

<>< Continue praying for Scott as he works more with Jasmine in homeschool while Shirin continues ministry visits.

<>< Pray for Shirin as she continues regular visits while helping Jasmine learn.

<>< Pray for Jasmine as she gets "extra time" for homeschool during her last week of Easter Break from the Schmidt School.

<* Pray for the Madura of Indonesia.><

CALENDAR UPDATES

<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!><

12-15, Passover is from April 13-20. Ask God to speak to the Jews, revealing Himself as Messiah.

* Some visiting intercessors and a co-worker had chance to share with a young man asking about the Good Friday crowds. While he chose not to accept Jesus as Messiah, we do rejoice that he *did* hear the Good News.

16-18, Many to know the resurrection power (Jasmine's 1st Easter as His follower)

* The children at church sang (in Arabic) "Lord, I Lift Your Name On High" and, oh, how Jasmine sang! She *loves* that song (thanks, Darryl!)
