Thank you for joining those folks in Tallmansville, West Virginia last week for praying for those trapped miners. As I was sending the prepared edition of last week's the Wednesday Weekly I saw that twelve men had been found alive.  The families of those who went through the ordeal thank you for praying, and I hope you could get a glimpse of the hopelessness and uncertainty this made so many feel.

It's almost like that, if not worse, when we look at the lostness of those around us. They're trapped in sin, but either are unaware of its circumstances or choose to ignore it. Believe me, the friends and families of those trapped miners knew the circumstances of their fate and they focused every ounce of strength, energy, time, and resources to rescue them and they wouldn't stop until those trapped were rescued. Or so they thought :-(

I have to ask myself that question. Am I doing all I can with the strength, energy, time, and resources I have to "rescue the perishing, care for the dying" as I know how wonderful Jesus is because He will save them? All I need to do is give the message in the power in which it was given, not relying on anything I have since the message is fully sufficient.

This week with Jasmine has been something else, and I thank you for rejoicing with us over her commitment; hopefully, by now, you've received an e-mail reply and, again, thank you :-)

I'm in the process of contacting "The Newsboys" about contributing to the Prayer Center since their song is our "theme song." I was hoping to catch them in concert this summer but, wouldn't you know it, they'll be in Roanoke, Virginia on my spiritual birthday! If you're in the Roanoke area on March 16, give them my greetings :-)

Carman will be at New Life Church in Huntington, West Virginia on 18-February.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

Matthew 24:14

+ Scott asked for intercession that would help him meet the computing needs of co-workers as he foresaw 'new ground' approaching... your intercession made a big difference and I thank you for praying!

+ Shirin and a co-laborer went on a visit last week, and you joined them in praying for the ladies that they would be visiting to open their hearts to Jesus... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. We had to postpone the visit due to the Muslim holiday."

+ Jasmine asked you to pray for her as she continues to develop good relationships with our neighbors... Jasmine says that you've been praying for a lot of people and she thanks you for praying for her. She says she has good relationships with the neighbors!
