I appreciate your prayers on my behalf to learn how to use the Smartphone as I can already see how this will greatly help one of my co-workers. Your intercession for Kingdom work can, yes, even include technology :-)

And, say, I could use some help/insight on where/how to find GPS Navigational Maps and/or software for Egypt, Israel, and Jordan as well as the East Coast of the US as, unfortunately, local computer stores have not been too helpful.

I think this site may be what I'm looking for by way of US software, but I don't have that assurance :-(

Anyway, talk about the potential for church growth!

"It came and went quietly, but the human race just passed a significant milestone: On Feb. 25, at 7:16 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the world’s population reached 6.5 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

It happened less than seven years after the number of people worldwide reached 6 billion. That total, in turn, was reached only 12 years after the 5-billion mark was surpassed. The new count of 6.5 billion is more than twice the size of the population in 1960 -- and four times the number of humans alive at the beginning of the 20th century." Read the rest of the story.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

Matthew 24:14

+ Several tour groups had expressed interest in visiting the Prayer Center, so you joined us in praying that these groups would catch the vision of praying for unreached people groups... They say "when it rains, it pours," and Thursday was no exception when the groups came - almost all at one in the midst of a hefty rain; unfortunately, the last group was 'overbooked' and missed the chance to visit the IPCJ. The other group, however, spent most of their time praying around the dry table in the library. I'm continuing to pray that each person will either catch or continue casting the vision of reaching the unreached.

+ Shirin and a co-laborer visited a lady who has a new baby. You joined them in praying for an opportunity to share the importance of a born again experience... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. Due to different circumstances we have yet to visit this new mother. We did, however, visit two other homes. At the first home we were able to tell the lady whose husband is addicted to drugs that Jesus cares for her and her family. In the second home we met with a mother and two daughters. For most of our visit the mother was in another room preparing lunch for the family. We told the story of the lost sheep to the girls. The one little girl kept saying that when the shepherd finds the sheep he will eat him (maybe she was hungry). The girls were surprised to hear how happy the shepherd was to find his lost sheep. We tried to explain that God is the shepherd and we are the lost sheep. Our continual prayer is that God will make this story and His love clear to these women and children."

+ Jasmine asked for strength to do her best at school... Jasmine thanks you for praying and says she was able to do her best!

<>< Scott has numerous opportunities this week to see Jesus at work in the lives of those around him and asks to be involved in His work.

<>< Shirin writes, "Please pray for the ladies meeting in the Old City. We will be discussing God's love for women and children. Pray that the ladies will be drawn closer to God as they acknowledge God's ultimate love gift. The guest speaker works with women who are thinking about abortion. I was surprised to find out that this country has a high abortion rate and even offers free abortions to females in the military."

<>< Jasmine asks you to pray for her friends at school to know God.

<* Pray for the Southern Punjabi, Saraiki of Pakistan.><

CALENDAR UPDATES

<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!><

8, Pray that the cooking class will lead to fruit for the Kingdom.

* Shirin writes, "God is listening to your prayers. We had a wonderful time making corn bread and a salad. I was able to talk a little about Adam and Eve's decision to disobey God. There are 6 to 8 girls in the group and they all like to be involved in our conversations. The girls all want to continue with the cooking class and we look forward to helping these girls learn God's plan for their lives."

9-10, Ask God to use a visiting group of intercessors to the Prayer Center.

* He used them to encourage me, especially in light of recent changes.

11, Pray for our neighbors on both sides of the Wall to know Jesus.

* More and more do we realize Jesus really is the only Answer.

12, Pray for our individual spiritual growth.

* God continues to grow and stretch us, making us fit vessels for His use.

13, Pray for Jasmine's friends to know Jesus.

* When we pick her up from school and see her friends, it's assuring to know you're also praying for them.

14, Ask God for stronger spiritual hunger in Thursday’s ladies meeting in the Old City.

* Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. This Thursday we will have a guest speaker. We plan to invite more ladies to hear the speaker and celebrate Mother's Day as it celebrated on March 25th here."
