Last night several of us had a great opportunity to hear from several key leaders within the SBC, and it was encouraging to hear them voice the same message: we want to engage unreached people groups with the message of Jesus Christ, the very same message of the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem!

How exciting it will be to see the IPCJ become an integral part of helping the IMB and SBC fulfill the vision God has put on their heart. Your ongoing intercession is making a difference, and we thank you!

Well, I guess the Christmas season is officially in full swing! As you think of all those on your shopping list, please allow me to remind you of the 5,000+ workers around the world who are depending on your gifts through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to enable them (and us) to do the work God has called us to do.

Now, if you went to the Dollar Store and bought each one of us something, the cashier would expect you to pay $5,000. Let me save you a trip to the Dollar Store: chances are your SBC church has Lottie Moon envelopes where you can put your $5,000 check. Please feel free to contribute more than $1 per worker - we won't mind :-)

Be sure to visit the Resources Page for items to help people become more aware of what God is doing around the world and how they can be involved.

So who is this Lottie Moon lady we keep talking about? Part of her story can be found here: Lottie Moon legacy: decades of missions.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

+ Scott recovered from a rather difficult week and needed clear direction from God concerning upcoming events... I'm still in the information gathering process, hoping a recent occurrence is just a misunderstanding; unfortunately, this seems to be an ongoing thing. God did give a sense of comfort and peace as Shirin and I talked about serving as an associational Director of Missions (DOM) 'in the future.' We've looked at what God has shown us these past eleven years and it seems He's preparing in that direction.

+ You prayed with Shirin and a co-worker about how to share the Christmas message with the girls and staff at the Lazarus Home... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. We have finally decided to have a craft and cookie baking day. We plan to ask a local church worker to share the Christmas story with the girls and staff."

+ Jasmine invited a school friend and her family to Thanksgiving dinner, so you joined us in praying that this family would open their hearts to the Creator and follow His message... Shirin writes, "Your prayers were greatly appreciated. The family enjoyed being around others that celebrated Thanksgiving. There were Bible readings and plenty of discussions, but they were not very open to the gospel. Jasmine and I will continue to love them into the kingdom."

<>< Ask God to use today's time with these key SBC leaders to continue casting the vision of the IPCJ so that more than 14 unreached people groups will be reached with the Good News this year.

<>< Shirin celebrates her 21st anniversary of walking with Jesus. Ask God to grant her another year where she will be able to see others on that walk.

<>< Jasmine is struggling a bit with written Arabic and asks for your prayers.

>< Pray for the Kunbi of India.>
