Sunday, May 29 will mark the completion of three years of the Wednesday Weekly.

Jasmine was a day shy of the 3rd celebration of her birthday the first time we sent the Wednesday Weekly and will enter childhood as a six-year-old this Monday (wow). Shirin and I thank you for praying specifically with us for half of Jasmine's life, and we trust you will continue to pray with us day by day for at least three more years (if not more). By the way (BTW) the saddest days for me are days when I see we've lost an intercessor :-(

Topica.com has handled our newsletter well. They sent this note recently:

Dear List Owner,

Please note that we have scheduled system downtime for Saturday, June 4th to perform important upgrades to our system. We are sending you this notice to give you the appropriate lead time to make any changes to your programs you deem necessary.

During this downtime, you will not be able to access your account, but subscription forms and unsubscribe links will be functional and all scheduled email messages will be queued and delivered shortly after service is restored.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for using Topica. We value your feedback, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us an email at:..................

Looking through the list of Wednesday Weekly Wintercessors, I see a number of you who prayed with us when I used to send the PIE (now that was before Jasmine was born); hopefully, you're still receiving that, too!

I was reminded recently of a link I shared way back when and thought you might like a refresher!

Once again, it looks like "peace talks" are falling apart. As local people say, there is talk but no peace. Settlements continue, the wall continues to be built, and aggression is displayed. Shirin stumbled across a streaming video site you may enjoy.

Here was a dose of encouragement for the Prayer Center:

Leviticus 19:23-25, "When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten. But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the LORD. And in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, that it may yield to you its increase: I am the LORD your God."

As the fourth year begins this summer, I'm counting on God to remain true to His promise!

And then someone sent this one!

Isaiah 61:11 (The Message) "For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers, and as a garden cascades with blossoms, So The Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom and puts praise on display before the nations. (Have you ever heard of a Master Gardener? I did last year when my friend in Mobile told me she had completed a master gardener course)!

Isaiah 66:19 ....I'm going to come and then gather everyone, all nations, all languages. They'll come and see my glory. I'll set up a station at the center. I'll send the survivors from all over the world........ (the Message)

The Amplified: verse 20 And they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as an offering to the Lord.......to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the children of Israel bring their cereal offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord.

(BTW, I still prefer the King James Version <g>, especially since so many "others" either leave out or cast doubt about one of my favorite verses: Acts 8:37, a key verse in Acts 8:26-40.)

For those of you in the ministry, I hope you find this story encouraging - I did! Maintaining moral integrity in the ministry

Finally, in the area of computer news, you may or may not have fallen victim to the latest worm that's causing havoc (see http://tinyurl.com/dtel3 for more information). Our Regional IT guy sent this link to help you determine if your computer is clean or if it needs to be cleaned. I hope you'll take the few minutes to 'Run' the program.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

Matthew 24:14

+ <L A S T  W E E K>< +

+ You prayed with Shirin, Jasmine, and another co-worker as they joined the Lazarus Home for girls for a picnic. You prayed for safety as they played games and you prayed for the hearts of the girls to be ready as seeds of God's love were planted for the girls... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. The girls were very excited about the picnic. The games were a little wild at times but God hear your prayers and kept us all safe. We were able to pray for our food in front of the girls as well as share with the girls throughout out our time with them."

+ You joined Shirin and other leaders of the ladies Bible study in the Old City in praying that the ladies would have a deeper understanding of why Jesus had to die on the cross. You prayed that the ladies would make deeper faith steps toward Jesus... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. During the meeting we had a wonderful time of prayer and worship. The story of Passover and how Jesus is the Final Sacrifice was clearly explained. I believe the women that were present at the study will be able to explain the information to the other ladies at the next meeting."

+ Scott had run into another one of those "catch up" modes where necessary "paper work" and other ministry items were interfering with one another. You prayed that these things would become reconciled last week... your intercession was keenly felt; however, only a few items were reconciled. Please continue praying, especially this week!

<>< That Leviticus 19 verse mentioned above may very well come into play this week as we receive a group of eight men from West Virginia on tour of the Holy Land. They've offered their help for the weekend, so join us in praying that God would speak to someone's heart about adopting an unreached people group.

<>< Pray for the "touring volunteers" (volunteering tourists?) to remain safe from harm, illness, and the evil schemes of the enemy.

<>< They will be guests at Jasmine's birthday party as she celebrates turning six! Pray that Jasmine would have an enjoyable day on the 30th and that she would recognize who she is (and can be) in God's sight.

<>< Jasmine has another plantar's wart treatment. Pray with us that this be the final one.

>< Pray for the Sundanese people.>
