My best friend became my brother a few years ago : -) I hadn't seen him for a long time but finally got to catch up with him recently. I heard his story, hearing words I knew were not from the friend I'd grown up with, and probed a bit deeper to discover a new commitment made in 1997. I have prayed for "Jason" for a long time and am delighted to know I'll see him again one Day! As our time in the US is drawing to a close, I have a heightened sense of urgency about finding those lost friends and plan on carrying that over to Jerusalem upon our return. Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send an e-mail or to subscribe at our website. I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am, Yours because His, * Be sure to sign up for the Wednesday Weekly. + <L A S T W E E K>< ++ As we continued sorting through items in need of being returned to storage, you asked God to grant us His peace of mind. (Remember the last time the moving van pulled up in your driveway? We've been living like that since early June <g>.) Your intercession is having a huge impact on our sanity, and we thank you! + I had been looking forward to time with those who make the bi-monthly newsletter possible, especially in helping them catch on to an e-mail encryption program, and you prayed that I'd be able to do this... our time went by quickly and, wow, did your intercession make a difference again! Thank you for making such a smooth path! + You asked God to be glorified in the time we had with our "newly adopted family" as we had a time of sharing... wow, what a sweet time of intercession! We discovered that one of our greatest stateside needs (housing) just might very well be taken care of with the future use of their parsonage; prayerfully, the whole group will get behind it and make it readily available for other folks on STAS! + You prayed that Saturday's prayer breakfast would be a time when prayer for the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem and the unreached people groups of the world could be offered along with mutual prayer for those attending... no only did that happen, but I found a friend from high school I hadn't seen in over, uh, twenty years :*-) "Carson" said all the right words to the questions I asked, but another friend mentioned 'double talk' :-( + You prayed with us that we would communicate clearly the needs of unreached people groups as we shared our presentation once again... well, it seems we still need some work in that area; however, we did see our total of new prayer partners top off at an easy 123! <T H I S W E E K><<>< Once again, we call on you to ask God to give us a calm spirit as we make final touches on packing and sorting items to be put back in storage. <>< Ask God to give us another safe departure, comfortable flight, and uneventful arrival as all of our luggage shows up when we do. <>< Pray for a reasonable adjustment to life back in Jerusalem. * I am unable to stay online long enough to retrieve a new people group; however, once that changes, your specific intercession will be much needed! CALENDAR UPDATES<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!>< * I regret to inform you that my paper copies are, uh, in Jerusalem and my soft copies are inaccessible : -( |
