You have been with us for so long, and we want you to know how greatly we appreciate your ministry of intercession! Thank you for praying for us! As I prepare the Wednesday Weekly to send through Topica, I check on the growing number of addresses being bounced, and I sure do appreciate how you keep your address current through your Topica account :-) While checking these things I notice every now and then that we 'lose' a subscriber : -( That hurts. "Rubbing salt into the wound" is not receiving any notification as to why the Wednesday Weekly no longer wants to be used :-( If you decide to drop out, please let me know how to make the Wednesday Weekly better to keep your interest and the future interest of others. In light of that, thank you for sticking with us over these years! You've no doubt seen how your intercession has helped, and we are grateful for you! Regarding our long overdue visas, we had a glimmer of hope on Monday only to hear the same thing: "We'll call you." Tired of hearing that, we pressed only to hear, "We can't find your file. We'll call you when...blah, blah, blah..." No phone call came, but maybe something will materialize soon (?) Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send an e-mail or to subscribe at our website. I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am, Yours because His, * Be sure to sign up for the Wednesday Weekly. + <L A S T W E E K>< ++ You prayed for "Andrew," a Mormon Scott has been sharing with online, to come to know the real Jesus... seems he dropped offline :-( + You prayed that Shirin's upcoming Arabic class focusing on the Bible would have a clear class outline and that all the students will have the some goal of wanting to share their faith in Arabic... We had a great class. It seems that all of us were a little rusty, but our motivations were high. Thank you for praying as the class members are in one accord about the goal of the class. + You joined me in asking God that significant progress would be made on the items needed for our upcoming Stateside Assignment (STAS) as well as the next newsletter... well, the next snail-mail newsletter was finished on Wednesday! Thank you for the extra 'push' to get it finished; unfortunately, there has been next to no progress on the STAS items : -( + There's a good chance that the money needed to purchase the larger regional tiles may be on its way, so you joined us in giving thanks in anticipation! The group that may provide those funds has shared the 'larger' need of the construction materials/labor needed to rebuild the walls, and there may be a group interested in helping... I think we'll either have definite word or cash in hand by summer : -) + Jasmine's monthly celebration of her birth took place on Friday (4 yrs, 8 mos), so you prayed for her growing understanding of the second birth. You prayed, too, that her "Burger King" day would be special... and how! She used all of the savings from her allowance (and then some) to buy her doll, Beeba, a new stroller since she'd outgrown the last one. She had an episode later where she learned (again) that her parents mean what we say when certain behavior occurs and, I believe, this will coincide with her growing understanding of the second birth. Thank you for praying! + I could have used intercession as I worked on the end-of-month financial/accountability statements. I enjoy such tasks but can always use the prayer... wow, did I sense His presence and your intercession! Thank you for making a difference in my life. + As my time/attention turns to things administrative, you prayed that my eyes and ears would be open to those "asking" about the main thing... I was on the lookout, but there were no seekers ; -( <T H I S W E E K><<>< Since the possibility exists, let's focus this week's intercession on the granting of our visas. >< Pray for the Ahaggaren Tuareg of Algeria. > CALENDAR UPDATES<If you're not receiving our bimonthly snail-mail newsletter, let us know so we can send it to you!>< 28, Ali’s salvation* It didn't happen today, but your intercession is drawing him closer! 29, more people to hear God’s word* I'm still excited about www.audioscriptures.org ! 30, Jasmine is 56 months* Your prayers for her mean a lot and, wow, has she grown so fast! 31, Ask God to bless you, our intercessors* Please continue sharing His blessings :-) 1, focus on main thing for this month* Starting a new month on Sunday is a great reminder of the main thing! 2, May God use Jasmine to share with local children* She and they are on vacation but haven't played together yet. 3, a full day of electricity* Not today : -( It went off for 20 minutes, came back for about eight seconds, and stayed off for another 3.5 hours before going off for ten seconds after about an hour. Tomorrow will be better (?) |
