A co-worker and his family are hoping to spend an upcoming Stateside Assignment (STAS) near Chicago, Illinois but have run into the incredible lack of housing for people like us. If you know how this family can be helped, please let me know and I'll get you in touch :-)

Last week's mention of the two gospel tracts elicited a profound statement from one of your Palestinian brothers in Jesus, and he has allowed me to share his question with you and welcomes dialogue:

"This issue always strikes me hard: How can I present the God of the Bible to the Palestinians when it comes to matters (Promised Land - Israel God's People...etc) God must have foreseen all the suffering of the Palestinians as a nation, and yet ignored it?!"

From a recent newsletter: The whole world "gets religion" at Christmas. People who at other times want nothing to do with Jesus Christ will accept, and feel good about, a Christmas card that talks about Jesus. It's a cultural thing. What an opportunity for soul winners! Every shopping clerk you meet will smile and accept a "Christmas card" like the Chick tract "Greatest Story Ever Told" or a cute Christmas comic like "Humbug." They will thank you and read it, and hear the most important message they will ever get in their entire lives. Don't let them down. Here are some more ideas.

Maybe I should have kept this one until after Thanksgiving, but perhaps US stores have already begun the Christmas shopping push: "Target has banned Salvation Army bell ringers from its premises."

I've often mentioned the hoaxes I receive that I checkout at snopes.com and hope you do, too. There are also legitimate opportunities that seem too good to be true; for example, there is the story of 15-year-old cancer sufferer Rebekah Tauber requesting calls to her prayer pager. See this link for her number and how to pray.

Please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send me an email at scoterry31684-subscribe@topica.com or to subscribe at our Wednesday Weekly website.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

+ Ramadan came to a close last week, giving Jasmine a few days off from school; consequently, a brief family vacation was under way, so you prayed with us that we'd be refreshed and renewed for the coming days... Had it not been for the people we were around, this interlude could have been disastrous: the "engine light" came on half an hour after leaving; we had difficulty finding the place (enough said); when we did, we temporarily parked in what looked like an okay area - within minutes of parking and checking in, there's a parking ticket in the equivalent of about $22. While they say "bad things come in threes," the rest of our time was refreshing and renewing - and then we came home. Vacations seem to have a way of "causing me more harm than good," even though this lasted ~36 hours. Oh, well... I'll try again some day.

+ You continued praying with us that the Prayer Garden of the Prayer Center would "take shape" in these coming days and that those who come to intercede would hear His voice to stand in the gap on behalf of a specific unreached people group... once upon a time, a co-worker and I measured the Prayer Garden walls but didn't know how to measure the angles. Now that one of my co-workers is a former math teacher, the angles are most accurate! The, uh, drawing is in need of revision now that we have up-to-date information; unfortunately, the "Garden Composer" software is not as merciful as it could be. Your intercession, however, has been heard as we see progress :-)

+ You prayed with Shirin as she sought God's direction in how to share the Good News with parents and teachers in Jasmine's school... Thank you for praying! Shirin had an opportunity to get closer acquainted with two of Jasmine's teachers. Now there is a opening to share the message of Good News with them.

<>< Today Shirin, Jasmine, and a co-worker will be going to the Lazarus Home for Girls. Join them in praying for a date to plan a Christmas party for the girls and staff there. Please pray, too, for opportunities to share God's word today with the girls that are present.

<>< Pray for Scott as he juggles several "standing" appointments waiting for things/people to assist with the development of the International Prayer Center of Jerusalem (IPCJ).

<>< Jasmine has received a few extra days off from school (surprise!), so the three of us need intercession on this, uh, change of plans.

>< Pray for the Gypsies.>
