This week I learned that the "uttermost" walls of the Prayer Garden are 230 sq. meters (275 sq. yds) in size. They are still barren concrete, but we'd like to have them covered in local "Jerusalem stone" in order to give the Garden a more uniform, beautiful appearance conducive to intercession for the lost of the world. I've been working through a native of the land to get the prices of what it will take to get the job done and, wow, have I been given an opportunity to trust God!

My initial 'gues-timate' was slightly off, and it's giving me more room to believe that God will meet these needs. Yes, my 'tent pegs are being stretched,' to say the least <g>, and I'm also reminded that this is His idea : -)

The site www.prayer-center.org shows the Prayer Garden where the work needs to happen. (For reference, the top and the bottom of the picture have completed walls and it's the right and left side of the picture that needs the work.)

Some of you have given $150 donations to the Prayer Center and have received a replica set of the seven tiles that will one day go on those 'uttermost' walls. We now stand in the need of an additional 230 donors, one for each square meter : -)

"Dawn of the Dead," "Hellboy," and "Kill Bill 2" are some of the movies I've seen that have surpassed "The Passion of the Christ" in US box office receipts. I guess that should come as no surprise since the crowd that shouted 'Hosanna!' would later chant 'Crucify Him!'

What a joy it was to finish the fifth round of listening to the New Testament on CD. I've begun a sixth round and hope you're joining me day by day.

May 30 is the SBC day of prayer and fasting. As you may know, this year the focus is on the Arabian Peninsula (in fact the whole year has an emphasis on that). This day is also focusing on all the Muslim people groups around the world. A packet of materials--including a video and a Loving the Lost (31 day prayer guide for people groups around the world) booklet as well as other things--is available to you! One of those resources is, Beyond the Wall: Loving the Peoples of the Arabian Peninsula, a video presentation hosted by a Muslim background believer. Accompanying this video are suggestions for use in a group setting and even a sermon outline for promoting the Day of Prayer. To obtain your free copy call the IMB at (800) 999-3113 or order online at http://resources.imb.org

A dear friend sent this link about remembering the sacrifices of 9-11, and with the November election coming up it's good to remember.

Those of you who have visited us have probably noticed the short stories we've added to the middle of the page. One of our frequent sources has become available for subscription and, wow, is it worth it! Visit Joe McKeever to see what I mean!

Since we always need "one more" person to pray for us, please feel free to recommend the 'Wednesday Weekly' to other like-minded intercessors in your circle of friends. Invite them either to send an e-mail or to subscribe at our website.

I'm glad to have you with us. Have an awesome week! May God find us listening more attentively to His voice this week as I am,

Yours because His,

Scott

+ You prayed with me over the next opportunity in sharing the message of peace with the gentleman helping with the IPCJ magnets as you asked that he would allow the Peace that passes all understanding to open his heart... not only did we have a great 'business proposal,' but he asked me if I could get a copy of John's gospel account in Arabic since, he said, he's read the other accounts.

+ A follow-up blood test happened last week and, prayerfully, the medication I'd been taking was supposed to have made a difference in reducing an oft overlooked heart condition. Your intercession made the ultimate difference... seems I'll have to go back once these results come in (see THIS WEEK).

<>< A short vacation is on the horizon, so pray with us that departing the airport and getting back in will be flawless and pray that we receive the standard three-month visa on re-entry. I don't want to anticipate any woes with our visa situation and am trusting the Lord and His people to make the paths smooth.

<>< Continue praying with me over the results of last week's blood test that all will be well.

<>< Continue asking God to draw "John" to Himself even before he reads the gospel account bearing his name.

>< Pray for the Bouyei. >
