Thanks for keeping your address and Topica account up-to-date! I looked over our subscriber list and noticed there were several addresses marked as 'Off,' meaning those subscribers were not receiving the Wednesday Weekly. I sent a brief e-mail to see if things were coming through and, wow, I lost 6% of our subscription list on account of 'user unknown' errors. Ouch!

Hmm...each person asked to receive the Wednesday Weekly but failed to let me know of a change in address, and now their signed covenant of a promise to pray is, uh, no longer valid. I've even stayed in some of their homes. Oh, well...I guess I ought not take it personally (?)

Anyway, I'm glad to have you with us this week, and I appreciate your willingness to allow us to your Inbox. Your ongoing, informed intercession means a lot to us!

The first baptism I performed was of an 8-year-old boy whose parents were seminary classmates of mine. I found Joel's page and, my, has he grown!

I discovered that there are at least 329 people in the US with my name and another 265 who go by my first name. How about you?

Also, while helping a co-worker with a computer issue, I stumbled across a wonderful site. When you click on items, be sure to scroll down a few lines. Enjoy!

"I know when apostolic passion has died in my heart. It happens when I don't spend my quiet time dreaming of the time when Jesus will be worshiped in languages that aren't yet heard in heaven. I know it's missing from my life when I sing about heaven, but live as if earth is my home. Apostolic passion is dead in my heart when I dream more about sports, toys, places to go and people to see, than I do about the nations worshiping Jesus." - Floyd Mclung, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement (William Carey Library, 1999)

+ New carpet was to be installed in what was going to be a Research Center for unreached people groups but will now serve as an "Upper Room" for prayer. You joined us in asking God for each detail to be ironed out... a co-worker good at haggling was a great help as details got ironed out! Although I lost out on a lot of family/personal time, there is a significant different look and feel with the new carpet. Come try it out! (No shoes, no food, no drink - no kidding <g>)

+ Shirin and a co-worker would be visiting some ladies from the English class, so you joined them in praying that bridges would be built (and crossed!) in order to share the good news with them... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. We were not able to visit the ladies due to illness; however I was able to phone them and reschedule."

+ Jasmine had upcoming tests and asked that you would pray for her study habits to get better so she would do well on the tests... Jasmine says she did well but realizes, too, that she still needs to pay attention. She's quite grateful for your intercession.

<>< A few issues over the new carpet remain, so we'd appreciate your prayers to see all of those reconciled.

<>< Shirin needs advanced coverage as English classes in a refugee camp begin in a couple of weeks.

<>< Jasmine asks that you pray for her to do well in music class, especially as her school has an upcoming Olympic-type event.

<* Pray for the Pasi Hindu of India.><
