I hope you prayed during the Week of Prayer for North American work; if not, allow me to direct your attention to a dear couple, Bill and Arlene Barker. I could sense your intercession during the fortnight I gave to helping out with "Computer Security Training." Not since college did I get by on so little sleep :-) + <L A S T W E E K><+ You covered Scott in daily prayer over the last few weeks as he lightened the load of our Regional IT Specialist by helping out with computer maintenance. You prayed, too, that both of them would remember that sharing the Good News is their primary responsibility and they'd do it... we took turns during taxi rides to share but didn't see any immediate fruit. Continue to cover those words. + You prayed that as Shirin and a co-worker finished up another course of English classes they would take advantage of opportunities to pray and share with the ladies in their homes... Shirin writes, "Thank you for praying. The ladies' class finished well with all the ladies eager to start again in May. Many of the ladies want us to visit them and we are in the process of arranging times to visit with each one separately." + You prayed that Shirin and a co-worker would also take advantage of another opportunity to meet with the deaf ladies in order to start a group for the purpose of sharing Bible stories with them... Shirin writes, "Thank you, your prayers make a difference. The deaf ladies came this time, but without the friends we asked them to bring. We are still building trust with the ladies as we regularly meet with them. Please pray with us that God will strengthen our relationship with the deaf ladies." <T H I S W E E K><<>< Scott asks for your intercession as he catches up on various items and makes progress with plans for an upcoming strategic event. <>< Shirin asks for insight on planning for an upcoming prayerwalking group. <>< Jasmine has what looks like a chipped tooth and is in occasional pain. We're planning on taking her to the dentist this week, so pray for her endurance until we can get there. <* Pray for the Ta'izz-Adeni Arabs of Yemen.>< |
